The base of the sculpture is a pentagon shape. We use each balloon to twist three connected pentagons. It makes a heart shape. We have to twist and connect three hearts to make the helmet. And we have to twist and connect four hearts to make the ball. Be aware of the tricky simplicity of the pattern: it could be a very confusing job to make this sculpture using only one color balloons. We are going to twist all bubbles of the same size. It could be any size up to two—inch. You have to twist the right size bubbles to make the right size helmet. For example: helmet made of one—inch bubbles hardly would fit a head of two years old child (at least it does not fit my kid). I also have to mention that this instruction was created as continues for the Ball 2, Helmet instruction where we use six balloons to make the ball. Inflate all four balloons leaving a seven—inch flat tail (Pic 1).

Twist the first pink bubble (Pic 2).

Twist the second pink bubble (Pic 3).

Twist the third pink bubble (Pic 4).

Twist the fourth pink bubble (Pic 5).

Twist the fifth pink bubble (Pic 6).

Lock both ends of the chain of the first five (the first through the fifth) bubbles in one lock twist (Pic 7). We made the first pink pentagon.

Twist the sixth pink bubble (Pic 8).

Twist the seventh pink bubble (Pic 9).

Twist the eighth pink bubble (Pic 10).

Twist the ninth pink bubble (Pic 11).

Twist the tenth pink bubble (Pic 12).

You have to force the balloon through the loop of the first five bubbles to lock both ends of the chain of the last nine (the second through the tenth) bubbles in one lock twist (Pic 13).

Twist the eleventh pink bubble (Pic 14).

Lock the free end of the eleventh pink bubble between the sixth and the seventh pink bubbles (Pic 15). We made the second pentagon.

Twist the twelfth pink bubble (Pic 16).

Twist the thirteenth pink bubble (Pic 17).

Twist the seventeenth pink bubble (Pic 18).

Twist the fifteenth pink bubble (Pic 19).

Lock both ends of the chain of the last ten (the sixth through the fifteenth) or first fifteen bubbles in one lock twist (Pic 20). We made the third pink pentagon. The rest of the balloon is the sixteenth bubble.

Cut off the sixteenth bubble and tie off the end. We made the heart (Pic 21). We actually completed this sculpture by connecting both ends of the balloon. Think it's cool.

Twist the first green bubble (Pic 22). There are three places where we can connect the green balloon to the pink heart.

Let's lock the free end of the first green bubble between the fourteenth and the thirteenth pink bubbles (Pic 23).

Twist the second green bubble (Pic 24).

Twist the third green bubble (Pic 25).

Twist the fourth green bubble (Pic 26).

Twist the fifth green bubble (Pic 27).

Lock both ends of the chain of the first five (the first through the fifth) green bubbles in one lock twist (Pic 28). We made the first green pentagon.

Twist the sixth green bubble (Pic 29).

Lock the free end of the sixth green bubble between the fourteenth and the fifteenth pink bubbles (Pic 30).

Twist the seventh green bubble (Pic 31).

Lock the free end of the seventh green bubble between the fourth and the fifth pink bubbles (Pic 32).

Twist the eighth green bubble (Pic 33).

Twist the ninth green bubble (Pic 34).

Twist the tenth green bubble (Pic 35).

Lock both ends of the chain of the last sixth (the fifth through the tenth) green bubbles in one lock twist (Pic 36).

Twist the eleventh green bubble (Pic 37).

Twist the twelfth green bubble (Pic 38).

Twist the thirteenth green bubble (Pic 39).

Twist the fourteenth green bubble (Pic 40).

Lock both ends of the chain of the last five (the tenth through the fourteenth) green bubbles in one lock twist (Pic 41).

Twist the fifteenth green bubble (Pic 42).

Lock both ends of the chain of the first fifteenth (the first through the fifteenth) green bubbles in one lock twist (Pic 43). The rest of the green balloon is the sixteenth bubble. Cut off the sixteenth green bubble and tie off the end. We have made the second (green) heart and it is connected with the first (pink) heart.

Twist the first blue bubble (Pic 44).

At this point our sculpture looks like a diamond. Hold it with pink heart on the left so there are two pink and four green bubbles on the top of the sculpture. Lock the free end of the first blue bubble between the third and the fourth pink bubbles (Pic 45).

Twist the second blue bubble (Pic 46).

Lock the free end of the second blue bubble between the eighth and the ninth green bubbles (Pic 47).

Twist the third blue bubble (Pic 48).

Lock the free end of the third blue bubble between the fourteenth and the thirteenth green bubbles (Pic 49).

Twist the fourth blue bubble (Pic 50).

Twist the fifth blue bubble (Pic 51).

Lock both ends of the chain of the first five (the first through the fifth) blue bubbles in one lock twist (Pic 52). We made the first blue pentagon.

Twist the sixth blue bubble (Pic 53).

Lock the free end of the sixth blue bubble between the second and the third pink bubbles (Pic 54).

Twist the seventh blue bubble (Pic 55).

Lock the free end of the seventh blue bubble between the ninth and the tenth pink bubbles. Twist the eighth blue bubble (Pic 56).

Twist the ninth blue bubble (Pic 57).

Twist the tenth blue bubble (Pic 58).

Lock both ends of the chain of the last sixth (the fifth through the tenth) blue bubbles in one lock twist (Pic 59).

Twist the eleventh blue bubble (Pic 60).

Lock the free end of the eleventh blue bubble between the twelfth and the thirteenth green bubbles (Pic 61).

Twist the twelfth blue bubble (Pic 62).

Twist the thirteenth blue bubble (Pic 63).

Twist the fourteenth blue bubble (Pic 64).

Lock both ends of the chain of the last five (the tenth through the fourteenth) blue bubbles in one lock twist (Pic 65).

Twist the fifteenth blue bubble (Pic 66).

Lock both ends of the chain of the last ten (or first fifteen) blue bubbles in one lock twist. Cut off the rest of the blue balloon and tie off the end. We have made the third heart and it is connected with the first two hearts in a shape of a helmet (Pic 67 through 72).

The helmet can be used as to make other sculptures: vases, hats, wigs, bags and etc. We are going to twist one more heart to make a ball. Each balloon has a chain of two and a chain of three bubbles on the brim of the helmet. We are going to attach the fourth balloon to a chain of three bubbles. Twist the first yellow bubble (Pic 73).

Lock the free end of the first yellow bubble between the twelfth and the thirteenth blue bubble (Pic 74).

Twist the second yellow bubble (Pic 75).

Lock the free end of the second yellow bubble between the eleventh and the twelfth green bubbles (Pic 76).

Twist the third yellow bubble (Pic 77).

Lock the free end of the third yellow bubble between the third and the fourth green bubbles (Pic 78).

Twist the fourth yellow bubble (Pic 79).

Twist the fifth yellow bubble (Pic 80).

Lock both ends of the chain of the first five (the first through the fifth) yellow bubbles in one lock twist (Pic 81). We made the first yellow pentagon.

Twist the sixth yellow bubble (Pic 82).

Lock the free end of the sixth yellow bubble between the thirteenth and the fourteenth blue bubbles (Pic 83).

Twist the seventh yellow bubble (Pic 84).

Lock the free end of the seventh yellow bubble between the eighth and the ninth blue bubbles (Pic 85).

Twist the eighth yellow bubble (Pic 86).

Lock the free end of the eighth yellow bubble between the eighth and the ninth pink bubbles (Pic 87).

Twist the ninth yellow bubble (Pic 88).

Twist the tenth yellow bubble (Pic 89).

Lock both ends of the chain of the last six (the fifth through the tenth) bubbles in one lock twist (Pic 90). You can use the ball as a hidden place for smaller items. You can place it inside of the ball now. Just don't use any heavy or sharp items. We don't want hurt anyone!

Twist the eleventh yellow bubble (Pic 91).

Lock the free end of the eleventh yellow bubble between the second and the third green bubbles (Pic 92).

Twist the twelfth yellow bubble (Pic 93).

Lock the free end of the twelfth yellow bubble between the twelfth and the thirteenth pink bubbles (Pic 94).

Twist the fourteenth yellow bubble (Pic 97).

Lock both ends of the chain of the last five (the tenth through the fourteenth) yellow bubbles in one lock twist (Pic 98). We made the second yellow pentagon.

Twist the fifteenth yellow bubble (Pic 99).

Lock both ends of the chain of the last ten (fifteen) bubbles in one lock twist. The rest of the yellow balloon is the sixteenth bubble. Cut it off and tie off the end (Pic 100).

We have made the fourth heart. Congratulations, we have made the ball (Pic 101). This ball is fun to play games indoors.
Have fun and happy twisting :)
