How to make balloon flower bouquet


Materials: three balloons and an air pump.

Inflate a balloon leaving a half—inch flat tail (Pic 1).

We are going to make a bloom with four petals. Twist the first one—inch bubble (Pic 2).

The next four bubbles you twist of the same size. Twist the second one—quarter of the balloon size bubble (Pic 3).

Twist the third one—quarter of the balloon size bubble (Pic 4).

Lock both ends of the chain of the last two (the second and the third) bubbles in one lock twist (Pic 5). This step is marked with arrows between points A and C on the scheme 1.

Twist the fourth one—quarter of the balloon size bubble (Pic 6).

Twist the fifth one—quarter of the balloon size bubble (Pic 7).

Lock both ends of the chain of the last two (the fourth and the fifth) bubbles in one lock twist (Pic 8). This step is marked with arrows between points C and E on the scheme 1. The rest of the balloon is the sixth bubble.

Lock both ends of either the fifth or the fourth bubble in one lock twist (Pic 9 and 10). This step is marked with arrows between points C and D on the scheme 1.


Lock both ends of either the 2nd or the third bubble in one lock twist (Pic 11 through 13). This step is marked with arrows between points B and C on the scheme 1.


 You have made the first bloom (Pic 13).

Make the second bloom (Pic 14).

Use the green balloon to make the stemInflate the green balloon leaving one—inch flat tail (Pic 15).

Twist the first one—inch bubble (Pic 16).

Lock the free end of first bubble of the green balloon (point A on the scheme 2) between bubbles of the bloom (Pic 17 through 19).



Twist the second bubble by twisting the third one—inch bubble at the end of the green balloon (Pic 20).

Lock the free end of the third bubble of the green balloon (point B on the scheme 2) between bubbles of the second bloom (Pic 21 and 22).


Braid the stem. Fold the stem (green balloon) in a half. Hold the fold of the stem in your left hand (Pic 23).

Hold one part of the stem between your left thumb and the index finger and the other part of the stem between the index finger and the middle finger of your left hand. Hold the middle part of the stem in your right hand just below the fingers of your left hand. Palms are facing each other (Pic 24).

Turn your right hand outward and slide your left hand up toward the blooms (Pic 25).

Retain the stem in your left hand and grab the stem with your right hand just below your left hand (Pic 26).

Turn your right hand outward and slide your left hand up toward the blooms (Pic 27).

Retain the stem in your left hand (Pic 28).

Hold the stem in your right hand just below your left hand (Pic 29).

Turn your right hand outward and slide your left hand up toward the blooms (Pic 30).

Repeat the steps as described above till you get up to the blooms (Pic 31 through 33).



Congratulations, you have made the flowers on the braided stem (Pic 34).
